Who am I? l’m Jaz from Australia.

Autistic ADHDer, Disability Advocate and Content Creator.

What I do

As a YouTuber, I create relatable neurodivergent videos, which are often times humorous. I work diligently to reach as many people as possible and help them feel less alone. It is my hope that others will share my videos and content with their loved ones, supporters, and co-workers, so they can feel more understood and less alone.

As a Disability Support Worker and Early Childhood Educator, I educate others about Autistic traits and provide suggestions and often solutions to help meet the sensory needs of children and adults. I share strategies, tools and personal anecdotes that can help others understand and support ADHDers with the difficulties they experience.

Through my advocacy work, I am committed to fighting injustice and promoting inclusion, respect, understanding for all people with disabilities worldwide.

Unwavering Determination

Despite facing numerous hardships, including homelessness, domestic and family violence, poverty and unemployment, and losing all my belongings (not once but twice!) to water damage and mould. I also spent most of my life chronically unwell with inflammatory responses such as brain fog, and chronic fatigue and widespread pain from living in unsuitable living conditions.

While these experiences caused great distress and trauma, I have developed a remarkable amount of persistence and perseverance.

Online communities such as the How to ADHD community have helped me realise my potential and the sheer amount of strength behind my resilience.

Bit by bit, I am taking control of my life, no longer shying away from the unknown or inadvertently allowing fear and inaction to take hold of me.

Courage is critical to overcoming obstacles and it takes bravery to face adversity head-on.

My Autistic brain is often scared of the unknown, but I know I can rely on my ADHD’s sense of adventure and sheer willpower to keep me engaged and focused amidst uncertainty. I can be scared and do it anyway because sometimes that’s the only way forward. I also find great joy in exploring new and unfamiliar experiences!

My ADHD mind is avidly creative and curious – and I am not one to shy away from a challenge. With this mindset, I remind myself that each where I can work out a way to attach some wheels to my roadblocks and push away any barriers.

It’s not easy, and sometimes I have no idea what I’m doing or how I’m going to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but without fear, I would not have an opportunity to be courageous and life would be so boring!

With every difficult situation that comes my way, I am empowered by unwavering determination to press on. I’m here to make a difference in the world and I know without a doubt that I came all this way to make lasting change in the world. I will do whatever it takes to reach that goal.

For those who feel voiceless, no matter where in the world you are, just know,

I am here.

Your truth matters.

I will fight for you.

You are not alone.

We’re in this together.
